Alice Martin is a multi-disciplinary artist who resides and works on Gadigal Land (Eora/Sydney) in completion of a Masters of Fine Art from the National Art School.

Her work explores how interventions on discarded domestic objects, found and collected from street waste, can generate affectual responses through acts of bodily engagement. Martin’s methodology engages with expanded print practices via acts of transfer, pressure and contact. She investigates the potential narrative histories of found objects, and how they can be remediated into new contexts.

Recent exhibitions include the Gosford Emerging Art Prize at Gosford Regional Gallery and a commission for Libris Awards: The Australian Artist's Book Prize at Artspace Mackay. Martin’s works are included in the collections of Curtain University, RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) and the University of South Queensland.
